JOB DESCRIPTION

PART TIME FACILITIES MAINTENANCE PERSON

 

Principle Function:

 

The Part Time Facilities maintenance person shall be responsible for the maintenance of facilities and properties. He shall work under the policy direction of the Building Committee and the administrative direction of the Pastor.

 

  • Hours: Up to 20 per week including Wednesday evening, Saturday evening, and Sunday morning and afternoon.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Unlock and Lock building after all Church wide functions. (Sunday Morning and Wednesday)
  • Blow off sidewalks and pick up trash before Sunday services.
  • Blow off sidewalks and pick up trash before funerals.
  • Unlock and Lock building for funerals.
  • Set up for church functions including funerals.
  • Reset church for Sunday Services.
  • Return Stage area to worship services arrangement.
  • Check all classrooms and rearrange for SS as necessary.
  • Check gym for cleanliness after Upward Sports or other group activities/events in the gym.
  • Check bathrooms for cleanliness after Upward and other group activities/events in the gym.
  • Order and keep inventory for kitchen paper goods, plastic ware, cups, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, hand sanitizer, dish sanitizer chemicals.
  • Change A/C Filters 2X year.
  • Maintain programming on A/C Thermostats.
  • Maintain A/C Units and coordinate repairs with contractors.
  • Maintain Plumbing.
  • Maintain Lighting.
  • Touch up paint as needed.
  • Assist with bus maintenance as needed.
  • Communicate with staff concerning building requests.
  • Pick up and straighten non community areas not cleaned by cleaning service. (Storage closets, laundry, A/C rooms, etc.)
  • Check, refill, and straighten cards and books in backs of seating in sanctuary as needed.
  • Schedule contractor for carpet cleaning and floor stripping and waxing as needed.
  • Empty trash as needed.
  • Maintain outdoor signage. (Marquee, banners, and signs.)
  • Treat campus for fire ants on regular basis.
  • Kill grass in parking lots on a regular basis.
  • Sanitize church spaces as needed.
  • Clean Ice Maker 2X year.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be capable of working independently most of the time.
  • Ability to set up and work on a 18 foot scaffolding.
  • Ability to work with up to 75 lbs. of weight.
  • Maintenance experience a plus.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
