CURRENT Connect groups

Connect Groups are a time for us to gather together on Wednesday nights from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM.

Below are three groups currently meeting. These are open groups that you can join at any time.

  • Defending Your Faith: An Introduction to Apologetics

(This study is paused for now. We will update when class resumes.)

God calls us to be "prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks" (1 Peter 3:15). One cannot make a defense (1 Peter 3:15), contend for the faith (Jude 3), defend the gospel (Philippians 1:16), or refute those who contradict sound doctrine (Titus 1:9) without being equipped. This is God's command to us no matter our situation or conversation and each one of us can do this with the effective use of reason. Join us for this study in apologetics to be equipped to follow God's command to firmly defend our Christian faith without condemning the hearer and to build up your faith and hope in Christ.

Cost for the book is $11. Class runs from September 6, 2023 to May 15, 2024 and is facilitated by Roger Smith.

  • Women's Bible Study: The Cost of Control

Join us beginning Wednesday, March 27th, at 6:15 PM for a new 6-session Women's Bible Study, "The Cost of Control" by Sharon Hodde Miller.

We often claim to have everything under control - whether it's our hectic family schedules, deadlines at work, or unexpected problems that throw us off track - but do we, really? Control can trick us into thinking we can gain comfort, security, and peace through our own efforts. But even though we might think we have a handle on our lives, God is the only one fully in control.

In this 6-session series, we will discuss the way control can cost us a lot more than we could ever imagine - and how we can walk in faith knowing God is in complete control.

There is no cost for this study. Class runs from March 27th to May 1st and is facilitated by Janie York.

  • Bible Study: The Power of Jesus' Names

Join us beginning April 24th for a six-session series "The Power of Jesus' Names", a Tony Evans study led by Pastor Nathan and Darrell Akers.

Some names live in infamy, and some names inspire the greatest kinds of hope. But there is one name above all other names, and it belongs to the Son of God, Jesus. Jesus is the most unique person who's ever lived, and his names carry with them great weight.

In this study series, Dr. Tony Evans journeys around the stomping grounds of Jesus in the land of Israel and presents a complete picture of the Incarnate God. By teaching on each of the major names of Jesus, Tony brings us face-to-face with the Second Person of the Trinity.
