The Music Ministry of First Baptist Church involves the entire church family in worshipping
the Lord. Musical organizations are available from age 3 – senior adult. Special groups include the Wind Ensemble, Handbells, and Praise Team. Our goal is to bring the church family closer to the Lord through our worship, and to reach out to our community with the Good News.
Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir provides leadership to our morning worship services and other special events such as our seasonal musicals. The choir rehearses Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. Adult Choir members may sign up for free voice lessons to improve their confidence and ability.
Contemporary Worship Team
The Praise Band and Praise Teams provide leadership to the Contemporary Service at 8:50 on Sunday mornings. They meet on Thusday nights to rehearse.
Preschool/Children & Youth Choirs
The Preschool/Children's Choirs meet Wednesday evenings from 6:15- 7:45. The children learn about music and singing for the Lord. They prepare special programs for Christmas and spring. Four choirs are provided for ages 3 - 6th grade. The children will be presenting their spring musical in May.
The Youth Praise Team is for teenagers in grades 7 - 12. It meets Sunday nights.
SMAK
Our Summer Music Activities for Kids has become a community-wide event during the summer each year. SMAK is a 5 day music camp where children enjoy crafts, musical activities, recreation, special entertainment, and field trips. The week concludes with the SMAK musical on a Friday parent-night. SMAK is set for June 25 - 29.

Sonshine Singers
Sonshine Singers is our special choir for our senior adults. They meet the first and third Friday of the month at 1:00 p.m. and the second Friday at 10:00 a.m.. They provide music for evening worship services and take their music 'on the road' to nursing homes and other events.
